CHISENHALE DANCE SPACE

This artist-led space in a warehouse of East London has been an artistic home for me since 2008. It has given me space to move, sound, debate, share, do admin, learn from peers, host, curate, rehearse. After years of being involved as a member of the space, I joined the board of the organisation in 2018, and am now co-chair of the board.

Learning highlights include: the power, complexities and rewards of an eclectic members community, diplomacy and facilitation skills, survival skills for a small arts charity threatened by London’s re-generation, the joy of movement in body and mind.
