I am a performance maker and producer.
The work I am involved with is raw, honest, extraordinary and humble. It is political, personal, serious yet with a good dose of humour. It is accessible to a wide audience, and unpretentious. It is always devised and necessarily collaborative.
I trained as a performer: physical theatre, puppetry, collaborative and devised theatre making. I embody this practice, and it fuels all aspects of my work.
After an MA in Advanced Theatre Practice at Central School of Speech and Drama, I co-founded PanicLab theatre company. This marked the beginning of practical questions: how does the show reach the audience? Where does the funding come from? How does the concept become the show? Driven by these questions, I became an independent creative producer, helping artists Joseph Mercier and Tom Marshman to strategise their careers and projects. Beyond fixing organisational issues, I attempt to create a safe and supportive environment for performance making.
I work on a freelance basis, and enjoy the diversity of my practice. I am available for consultation at various levels of creative entrepreneurship.
